What to Pack in Your Daypack for Activities in Patagonia

Patagonia is known for offering all four seasons in a single day. Because of that, being properly prepared isn’t optional; it’s essential. Your experience here will largely depend on how ready you are to handle changing weather conditions. For comfort and safety, having the right clothing and equipment makes all...

What is Patagonia, really?

Patagonia is not a country, and it is not a single, clearly defined region. It is a vast territory shared by Chile and Argentina, and its definition can vary depending on who you ask. It is a land shaped by long distances, extreme weather, and a geography that does not...

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Patagonia Blueprint?

Patagonia Blueprint is a travel project focused on Patagonia and southern Chile, specializing in the design of tailor-made experiences, built on more than 15 years of on-the-ground experience and a strong network of local providers.

We are not a traditional agency. We support each traveler from the initial idea to the final experience, with an approach that is close, realistic, and deeply connected to the territory.

What kind of trips do you offer?

We offer two ways of traveling:
  • Tailor-made trips: designed from scratch based on your pace, interests, fitness level, and budget.
  • Set programs: pre-designed itineraries that are clear and well structured, ideal if you want a proven option without starting from zero.
Tailor-made travel is at the heart of what we do, but we understand that every person is looking for something different, which is why we offer both options.

What is the difference between a tailor-made trip and a set program?

A set program is an already-defined experience, ideal if you want something clear and organized, without spending time designing the trip.

A tailor-made trip is created specifically for you. We listen to what you want and take care of everything: design, coordination, bookings, and support before, during, and after the trip.
This is where we can apply our on-the-ground experience at its best.

Do you work only in Patagonia?

At the moment, we work in two main destinations:
  • Patagonia (Chile and Argentina)
  • La Araucanía, in southern Chile
We choose to operate only in places we know deeply, where we live part of the year, and where we have a solid local network. We believe this is the only way to create authentic, well-designed experiences.

Is your focus only on the W Trek or the O Circuit in Torres del Paine?

No.

While the W Trek and the O Circuit are iconic routes, they are now in very high demand and, during many periods, overcrowded.

At Patagonia Blueprint, we aim to diversify the experience, connecting people with other corners of the park and Patagonia, both on and beyond the busiest routes.

Our approach goes beyond the refugios. We combine nature, estancias, fjords, glaciers, less-traveled hikes, and authentic experiences, always adapted to each traveler.

What does “conscious pricing” mean?

Conscious pricing means paying what is fair for a well-designed experience, respecting the work of local providers, and using the budget intelligently.

We are not trying to cheapen the experience. We invest where it truly matters.
Even though Patagonia is an expensive destination, as a travel project, we do not aim to overcharge for our services. We try to make Patagonia as accessible as possible within our means.

Who is Expert Consulting for?

This service was created because of the amount of information online today and the lack of truly expert, real-world knowledge in AI.

Many people want to plan trips independently without travel agencies. We understand that costs can rise a lot.

But are you willing to spend all that time doing real research to organize your trip? Patagonia is not an easy destination to manage. There are many factors at play, and coordination is challenging.

That is why we created this service. In just one hour, we answer all your questions and guide you on how to plan your trip effectively.

What is included in a tailor-made trip?

It depends on each trip, but it generally includes:
  • An initial meeting where we listen to you and then make you a trip proposal.
  • Itinerary design and relevant travel information.
  • Coordination and bookings with local providers.
  • Support before, during, and after the trip.
Each experience is built around what you truly want.

Do I need to be in great physical shape to travel to Patagonia?

Not necessarily.

Patagonia offers experiences for different fitness levels and travel styles.

The key is to design the trip around your reality, rather than copying someone else’s itinerary or relying only on what you see on social media.

How do I start planning my trip?

The first step is simple: talk to us.

Tell us what kind of experience you are looking for, whether it is a set program or a completely tailor-made trip, your approximate dates, your interests, and your budget.

From there, we help you choose and design the best option for you.

Expert Advice, Authentic Experience

Each trip reflects years of hands-on experience in the field, a deep understanding of the territory, and a clear vision of what makes an experience truly meaningful.

We personally know every supplier, trail, hotel, and hidden corner of Patagonia. This allows us to go beyond a simple itinerary, offering expert curation of authentic experiences.

We believe in conscious pricing, aligned with the real value of your journey and thoughtfully optimized to deliver a high level of service without unnecessary extra costs.
